What every import actually did — added, updated, and skipped.

The record of every import applied
An import that has been applied leaves an entry here with three counts:
| Count | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Added | Dishes that did not exist and now do. |
| Updated | Dishes that already existed and were changed. |
| Skipped | Rows that were read but not applied — usually already present and unchanged, or missing something required. |
Each entry names the import and when it was applied.
What to use it for
- "Did that work?" — an import that added 0 and skipped 40 did nothing, and the counts say so at once.
- "Where did these duplicates come from?" — two entries the same size, minutes apart, is a draft applied twice.
- "Who changed the prices?" — a large updated count is an import that overwrote existing dishes rather than adding new ones.
This is a record, not an undo. There is no button to reverse
an import. That is why the review step exists before applying — see
Import menu. If an import went wrong, the fix is on
Dishes, sorted by Recently added.
When it doesn't work
Nothing has been imported yet
The screen says so. Drafts you have read but not applied do not appear here — they are on the Import tab.
The numbers do not match what I see on the menu
Skipped is usually the answer: rows read but not applied. It is counted separately precisely so a 40-dish import that adds 12 is not mistaken for a failure.
