Settings map

Fifteen tabs, and you only need four of them to open for business. This page says what lives where.

Admin → Settings

Start with four

Settings looks larger than it is. Almost everything ships with a working default, and a shop can open having touched only these:

TabWhy it cannot wait
GeneralYour platform name, currency and time zone. Every price and timestamp on the site follows them.
ContactThe address, phone and hours customers see — and what your contact page shows.
PaymentWhich payment methods exist. Cash and offline work immediately; card needs your own keys.
Email deliveryWithout SMTP, no customer receives an order confirmation.

The rest can be left alone until you need them. Nothing here is required to take a first order.

Two things that are not on this screen

They shape the product more than anything in Settings, so they live on their own pages:

  • Business model — marketplace, your own restaurants, or franchise. It decides which screens exist at all.
  • Services — the eleven switches for POS, kiosks, QR ordering, reservations and the rest.
Settings are platform-wide. They apply to the whole site, not to one restaurant. A restaurant's own hours, delivery radius, minimum order and tax rate are set in that restaurant's profile — see Restaurant profile.

When it doesn't work

A change saved but nothing looks different

Some settings only affect new records — the default tax rate applies to restaurants added after you set it, not to ones already on the platform. Change those on the restaurant itself.

A tab is missing

Subscription plans and Sponsored placement pricing do not exist in the My own restaurants model, because there is nobody to sell a plan or a placement to. See Choosing a business model.
